奈良美智在國際上可以說是相當具知名度的日本創作者，1959年出生於青森縣弘前市，在他28歲時隻身前往德國學習美術課程，他以自己幼年的記憶和現在的經歷對照為靈感，以小孩單純的形象，對抗大人世界的傳統和權威，奈良美智筆下的小女孩，總是吊著雙眼、不懷好意，卻又表現出一種單純與不可思議的氛圍。奈良美智的作品集一直是國內奈良美智迷收藏的目標。 日前，他在自己的故鄉青森縣的弘前市，舉辦了一個名為「From the Depth of My Drawer」的作品展覽，這些新的作品希望讓喜歡他的朋友，能藉由這次意味抽屜深處的想法衍生出來的作品可以讓大家更貼近他的內心世界與想法。
